Babywine is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter whose artistic journey is defined by perseverance, versatility, and a lifelong connection to music.

Originally from Fajardo, Puerto Rico, Babywine discovered her interest in singing at an early age. She recalls singing along to Shakira on television when she was six years old, a moment that prompted her grandfather to encourage her potential as an artist. She later took music lessons and joined a rock-pop band as a teenager, performing throughout Puerto Rico and gaining her first experience within the island’s music scene. 

Her path toward a solo career developed through collaboration and mentorship. Producer Noriega helped guide her entry into Puerto Rico’s urban music community, while her later work with DJ Nelson and Pablo Casals supported the development of a sound that reaches beyond traditional reggaeton into pop, guaracha, and electronic music. Her stated musical inspirations include Shakira, Draco Rosa, and DJ Nelson, artists she admires for their composition, distinctive voices, and lasting creative identities. 

Babywine’s career reached an international audience through “PAPI,” her collaboration with DJ Nelson, José de las Heras, Alejandro Armes, and reggaeton veteran Alberto Stylee. Released in 2021 through Flow Music and EMPIRE, the song became a defining moment in her career and her first collaboration with another singer. Babywine has described it as particularly meaningful because it introduced her work to listeners in countries she had never visited. 

Her work has since included collaborations and releases such as “Noche de Entierro,” “Pedirte Perdón,” “Rompecorazones,” “Mojito de Parcha,” “Luquillo,” “Tictxc,” “No Le Creo,” “SJU – On The Radar,” and “Duele.” Together, these projects show an artist comfortable moving between melodic urban music, dance-oriented production, and songs grounded in personal experience.
