A recording session in Orlando, Florida, has become an unexpected chapter in the story of Almighty’s album RESILIENCIA.
The collaboration began when Kendflow connected with Almighty in Orlando and brought the artist into a creative session. Almighty recorded a demo during the meeting, while Kendflow worked with Derek Romero to develop the production around the song.
At the time, the recording remained unfinished. It was one of the first pieces Almighty was preparing after stepping away from secular music and entering a new religious stage in his life. The session existed as a moment in progress: an artist returning to the studio, an early idea being captured, and a group of creatives contributing without knowing where the record would eventually lead.
Derek Romero described the discovery as a surprise. In his post, he recalled participating in the original session, recording one of the demos Almighty was considering for his return, and later realizing that the unfinished production had become part of the completed album.
For Kendflow and Romero, the placement reflects the long and sometimes unpredictable life of a recording. A demo can remain unheard for years, disconnected from the moment in which it was created, before returning as part of a larger body of work.
The album also represents another stage in Almighty’s evolving career. Born in Cuba and raised in Puerto Rico, the artist became known through Latin trap and urbano before moving through periods of religious reflection and changes in musical direction.
Babywine also participated in the visual world surrounding the project. Filmed in Puerto Rico, the multi-video production presented her as a central character within a short-form narrative unfolding across multiple songs.
