Curiche

Curiche is a Venezuelan artist born in Porlamar, Isla de Margarita, and shaped by both Margarita and Anaco. His foundation in music began through freestyle, improvising in parks and plazas before turning those instincts into recorded songs and a more deliberate artistic identity.

His music draws directly from lived experience, exploring struggle, resilience, ambition, migration and personal growth through a sound that moves between rap, trap and experimentation. Venezuelan culture remains present in his work through his language, humor, storytelling and the picardía he carries from home.

The name Curiche itself comes from his childhood. Created by his older brother from his real name, Richard, the nickname gradually became how nearly everyone around him knew him. Rather than inventing an artist persona, Curiche built his music around an identity already connected to his family, neighborhood and history.

Following No Creo, Curiche stepped away from releasing music while continuing to create, using the time to refine his sound, expand his skills and better understand the artist he wanted to become. His next chapter is intended to reveal more of his personality, experiences and emotional range while continuing the process of building a sound distinctly his own.
